Update for me. It was hard, but I was able to get my account back. It helped that I knew the credit card I had used for most purchases.

And yes, mostly it was my fault. . I'm just glad it was easier than I had heard.

I think it was the first poster that had the fury. Mine was just more, Oh well, this isn't that fun to go through.

Song by Muse?

Yeah, I get what you mean and I have to say I have been watching this thread go by as I was suffering my second problem with Steam.

I decided to give them a second chance, on the grounds that I wanted certain games without driver based DRM.And steam could give me those. I also decided to keep my spending down to a low level. So, summer sale fest, excellent.

Then they suspended my account on Friday..... no reason. No emails until tonight. They did the right thing. Not just took responsibility for the delay in sorting out the suspended account and apologised, but also gave me Portal 2 for nothing for my inconvenience.

There are two things here, the issue of the account suspension and their response.

I offer no comment for or against, I think there are both in what happened. I will do the only thing I can, play Portal 2 and see what it is like.

Yeah, WAY to much trouble to go back through. I am more entertained when I just start posting without thinking.

Update to the update - Not Steam related, but ATARI related. Neverwinter nights 2 - Once you run out of activations, apparently you are screwed unless you printed out an actual receipt. Serial number? No, that isn't good enough. You can buy the full game GOLD version for $8, but supposedly, they have so many people trying to steal the game that they want you to scan the printed receipt and email them that for more activations.

Baird, I would imagine it's on Red Orchestra. As far as I know from playing MMOs through Steam, Steam just allows the game to be launched. I could be wrong, I'm just going from personal experience.

I know Red Orchestra isn't an MMO but both genres have servers.
