Status: offline 		I'm on Cloud Nine, as my lovely bride bought a plane ticket for me to join her and our son for a week in the Turks in early August.  We were not sure if I would be in an employment situation that allowed me to go, but she bought my ticket as a reward for finding a job. 

It's good to be the King! 

Well, OK.  Maybe that's pushing it, but it IS good to be married to the Queen!

Status: offline 		It's going well, Leo, thanks!  It is much different from the software testing job I've been used to doing.  This one is mostly using SQL to test the accuracy of data collected from many different school district's standardized testing, and then verifying the accuracy of the reports we generate for the school districts and individual students.  I'm learning a lot about SQL that I never had a chance to learn before, but I wonder if I'll be bored out of my mind in a year or so.  I don't want to lose all of the different software testing skills that I've accumulated over the years.

Everyone is very nice and has been welcoming, and they provide free coffee, so maybe I'll stick around for a bit.

Status: offline 		I mostly agree. Not that having the #2 fattest payroll in the MLs earns the Bosox tons of sympathy. But it's got to forever stick in the Yankees craw to be the first (and only) team to blow a 3-0 Pennant series lead and lose to the Sox.

As an older member of Red Sox Nation I now officially have sufficient fansatisfaction to feel alot of sympathy for the Cubbies. If it ever came down to Boston vs the Cubs, I wouldn't even cry in my beer if the Cubs won the series.
