I'm sure that's not the next line in the song? Although may be The Shamen should have tried that instead - could have made it No.1

Ebeneezer Goode...there's a song I haven't heard in a while. What happens when Brits try hip hop.

Full disclosure: I own a couple Shamen albums, so I'm just talking smack.

This is worse than my blonde pictures.......T channelling KC and the Sunshine Band. As Winston would say...."Pray tell me........is there a Disco Ball hanging from your ceiling?"

ACTION THIS DAY.

Get Danish boy to a hospice and subject him to 20 straight hours of Trash-Can music.

We'll turn him into a black wearing, EMO smiting Goth boy who dresses up like the bad guy gladiator in The Road Warrior.

My last two purchases on iTunes were Ministry songs. Does that help?

depends on which two songs...early Ministry was definitely not "black wearing...Goth boy" music...

Golly, am totally in love with my little rescue dog. His back legs don't work because he has this hip dysplasia issue, but he's pretty smart and hops up on the bed with his front feet and goes, "Ok Dad, let's get it up". I grab him under his butt and boost him up and have a wonderful evening with a nice raspy Springer tongue licking my face. Beaudy the deaugy.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear your both settling into each others routines. We used to have a very old cat who taught us her elevator call for when she wanted up on the bed.

Hi all,

Sad fact is that we are now 42 years since the Moon landing and we have no technology to go back in forseable future...

quote:

Tasmin Archer

Sleeping Satellite

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Did we fly to the moon too soon?
Did we squander the chance?
In the rush of the race
The reason we chase is lost in romance
And still we try
To justify the waste
For a taste of man's greatest adventure

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Have we got what it takes to advance?
Did we peak too soon?
If the world is so green
Then why does it scream under a blue moon?
We wonder why
The Earth's sacrificed
For the price of its greatest treasure

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

And when we shoot for the stars
What a giant step
Have we got what it takes
To carry the weight of this concept?
Or pass it by
Like a shot in the dark
Miss the mark with a sense of adventure

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the Eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Sure thing... but we had problems in 1960's and we still managed to have decent Space Program...

Also many many technologies that we enjoy right now are offsprings of technology devised for space program - thus it was not wasted money!

It's sad because the space program has helped so many people down here....medical advances, calculators, computers, materials and so on. Just my opinion T

Hi all,

Sad fact is that we are now 42 years since the Moon landing and we have no technology to go back in forseable future...

I'm reminded these days of the premise behind the "Red Dwarf" series. For those who don't know about this cult classic from the zany UK......part of the premise (at least if you read the book vs. just watch the TV series) was that man pursued the great space race and set out among the stars with a burst of hope and enthusiasm.....only to find out that we are completely, utterly alone out here in our corner of the universe. No intelligent life.....no Vulcans....Romulans, Cardasassians or Klingons all facing the same issues we are.....just empty barren space. It had a deppressive impact on the Human Race.

Reminds me of the space program now. Alot of our drive to get out into space was politically motivated....ala the Cold War....but once the hoopla passed....what was there really left to do? and for what reason? Why go to the moon now? Is there an economic reason to put more footprints on a dead chunk of rock orbiting our planet?

Maybe if we invent warp drive or some other form of "practical" technology that allows us to travel the stars as well as tech that allows us to live without our bones becoming brittle from lack of gravity.

Sometimes i think the world of Sci Fi fantasy is so much more interesting than the boring real world and it's alleged endless possabilties. I think even the big brains are getting depressed. Didn't Stephen Hawkins recently publish a paper or book that argues that God doesn't exist and that gravity explains everything....including Terminus's sudden desire to buy Ministry songs?

Well, being flush with cash from the post-WWII boom didn't hurt either. Now that most countries with the technology for space flight are in major financial crunches, it makes little sense to take humans back into space.

We shouldn't stop sending scientific missions however. There's much to learn out there.

Watching it now - first time in many many years. I forgot just how refreshingly un-PC this film was. Absolutely brilliant!

Hedley Lamar (signing up desperados and thugs): "What are your qualifications?"
Big cowpoke, chewing massive plug of tobbaco: "Rape, murder, arson and rape."
"You mentioned 'rape' twice-why?"
"I like rape."
