So I finally made it there. I thought Kursk was hard (I couldn't afford to turn most of my tanks into Tigers and Panthers) but the US East Coast is IMO even harder. It's scary.

Can you give me some advice how to face the challenges of this scenario?

- First, I have some 11K Prestige, how much would you spend on unit upgrades and which units would you focus on upgrading?
- Ju87G or Do335. Strong anti-tank, weak and fragile vs a better overall unit - for quite a price
- How much Prestige do you deem necessary as reserve?
- How to deal with the strong US Navy? Ignore, focus on land, attack with level bombers, etc...?
- How to deal with the strong US Airforce? A P47N really killed 7 of my 4 star Me262 in retaliation!
- Will new American units start with 3 Stars like the units present at the start as well?

I also think maybe I just got scared by the initial landing phase. Knocking out the radar towers with ground forces also helped a lot.

What do the radar towers do? I encountered these in my abortive attack on the U.K. and didn't bother to blow most of them up. I guess this was a mistake?

Radar allows a player to see 4 Hexes?

If you attack them, they are good to bring up your experience.

Also radars give initiative bonus to all friendly air units within their spotting range. So wiping them out is useful, but not necessary - if you have little time, you can ignore them, much like any other unit.

they should prob. be easier to destroy by air and sea attack (capital ships).

now its only viable for ground forces

OK, it turned out that the first turns are brutal but then you make them pay. Nevertheless I lost some units that were with me since Poland.

Well I just played this scenario several times, only to find out that (for me)it seems impossible to win a decisive victory... but then the campaign-overview indicates you actually do not even need a decisive victory in order to play US midwest & west? Anyway, some hints i found to be useful (medium difficulty - colonel?):

- Fighters: Get them all oversized and upgraded to Me262. I had 3 fighters and bought 1 new (which they shot down but i could live with that, because it had no experience yet). as always, try to get air supremacy asap and also hit the enemies bombers if appropriate (one exp. Fighter can bring down a whole US bomber unit with some luck). When you have some oversized (13 or so) Me262 just try not to lose them, but against the American fighters you will of course suffer some losses (that's why you only need the best fighters, forget about a cheap upgrade of Me109s, they will inevitably die if they get intercepted by the Americans).

- Naval warfare: (spoiler:) the US has one destroyer in the far north, careful or he'll sink one transport, move your transports immediately to the west and don't expoit the space to the northernmost hex.
(end of spoiler). The enemy will try to move his fleet northwards. use your subs and destroyers to block him and your other ships to range-attack his fleet while keeping distance at the same time. You should know the deal from the invasion of england already. Trick is to keep your firepower concentrated and his forces scattered, so you can sink his big ships one by one before they even come in range. Also, i used 2 bombers with excellent naval attack, Ju188 (cheap upgrade if you already own the Ju88) & He 177. they can destroy a whole battleship with 2 attacks (need fighter escort!). Ju-87s I got rid of (too dangerous), upgraded them to Pfeil and Fw190g I think. Both units can also be used to finish off enemy bombers if needed. Oh, and tactical bombers also best weapon against enemy submarines.

- Only land your Units between New York and the Cheasapeake bay (you can try to move some tanks on naval transports into the bay, but don't use ANY transports further south, because otherwise they'll get sunk by the enemy navy)

So far these are some tips i found to be useful.

I thought this scenario was hard.

Then I got to the Midwest scenario!
