Things are heating up again.
Very unexpectedly for me Chris broke with routine and sent his fleet CVs on a full speed run to ambush my bombardment TFs heading to/from Kagi. This is the first time he has separated them in this PBEM and therefore he achieved complete surprise. Still, I got lucky as the weather prevented a second attack.

These guys aren't though. Great move by Christian. 
By breaking with his routine he got a perfect shot at my bombardment TFs diddling their thumbs while refusing to go in.
The damage is not bad though. The 1000 lbs bombs don't even inconvenience the BBs. At the end of the day none has more than 25 sys damage with zero fires. You really need torpedo planes for decisive results here.

RE: Now taken over by IGHQ... - 
As expected the Allied CVs don't advance far enough to trigger the massive waves of LBA that was transferred to the westernmost bases. Repair estimates show that the BBs will need 2-3 weeks in the yards to be fully operational again. I seriously hope that Christian overestimates the damage done.
