Last one here will regard the abstrac issue, wich is the Galaxy build up.

Looking at the DW/and any future based concept game, you cant use the word "realistic", but within the corridoors you can speculate, that they were reaching to build up game reality on more/less common knowledge.
All in place, all good. I have no problem with what I will about to point. Im just curious about the origin of decision, about actual Galaxy buildups in game.

Its about the Star types.
It is well known now, that some about the 80% of Stars in the Cosmos are Red-Dwarfs, while in DW.
( on the margin, here is TonyDarnell on the topic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMF4FSe31dw&feature=channel_video_title )

I wonder about the concept of game Galaxy with 80% RD, how much, and if, in what way this could affect the game. Is it really possible? (didnt gpot the time yet to enter the editor)

You can edit the universe you want but from a realism point of view I'm not sure with how many habitable planets you'll end up - RD do not support them afaik. Searching a big universe for a couple of terran planets is no fun even if it can be realistic

Besides I think it is safe to bet that the DW galaxy is a long time ago, far, far away...

In all seriousness, the DW galaxy is not the Milky Way, and it probably isn't far to compare the two. Just suspend your disbelief and enjoy the game is my advice.

No disbelief Shark (tryied to avoid it sounding like this), I take the developers reasons. It was putted as a loud reverie.
RD % reaching beyond the Galaxy level so I would pimp that bet to a whole new parael universe .

Data I gues you meen, that the game engine doesnt reflect supporting "habitables" near RD´s. Right?
As in real, Red Dwarfs are pretty decent places.
Gliese 581 (first Earthlike planet recently discovered) is orbiting near RD.

This will in no way affect my judgement of high value for the game. But I consieder it a slip from the creators.

I was thinking about real life but your example is a great one...you gotta love astronomy.
