Just reinstalled CCLD on Windows 7. Getting an error message that says "Close combat error - unavailable".

Anyone have any suggestions?

Which version of the game do you have installed. Have you installed the latest patch? At which point are you getting the error, on launch? Are you launching through the game launch menu or by double-clicking the EXE directly?

I've tried the download version with and without the latest patch.

I can run the game menu, but then after I click on "play" I get the error message. Same thing happens when I run the game from the quickstart. I've also tried all of the compatability options in Win 7, but I still get the same error message at the same point.

I'll try downloading the game again.

A fresh download and install didn't solve the problem.

EDIT: Cracked it! For those that may find this thread in the future, the problem was caused because I recently installed Win7, but hadn't reinstalled the latest drivers for my graphics card. The old driver didn't support DirectDraw, which CC requires.
