Eagle Day is basically a remastered version of both Grigsby games with improved UI. Unfortunately it doesn't get dev support anymore.

Eagle Day will give you more value for the money, from my point of view - I have both.

Eagle Day, is one of those monster games. Carriers is quick and easy to play.

Neither is a bad game, but CAW does not have a lot of replay value, and Eagle Day is a game you will keep playing and trying out new strategies. Just be warned, there is a significant learning curve.

Eagle Day never did run correctly on my hardware, while the original version still runs fine (other than uncontrollably high speed scrolling).
