Going to be a nasty day in the markets. Dollar could make a historic day at up 1400 points, oil down $5, and the dow down 275-300 points. All of the stars are lining up for a nasty day.

Oh well. Good morning.

Yup. It is. I spent some time buying some ETFs and individual stocks this morning. Good day to buy low.

Woulda been nice if EEP didn't announce a secondary offering today. I bought a bunch yesterday for the nice long-term yield. The offering, plus the pole axing the market is taking gave me a nice loss there within 24 hours.

Hope gold drops. I'm close buying. Just not yet.

Got in at $1500/ounce in April-ish. Left when it tipped $1900 for a tidy gain. Too bubble-esque for now, but I may revisit it if it falls to $1500-ish again.

Can't eat it or shoot it. Try canned goods and cartridges instead.

I am adding to stocks that the majority of their revenue is based off of interest (market makers) when interest rates go up a couple hundred basis points some day, theyre good to go

I'm land rental plenty and sittin' tight on the stocks. So I have a couple of buddies with good access to metals and minerals. And I have nothin' better to do. So why not find some mischief.

Under the heading: I'm glad it wasn't me. Right now we have a couple of engineers sitting on the side of I-94 east of Bismarck. The front right wheel came off the Explorer while passsing a tractor-trailer. Some colorful language happening out on the prairie.

Wasn't this identified some 15 years ago? I remember this being discussed in the news in the late 1990s.

Well Chickenboy, what did you end up doing on the gold? It most definitely dropped.

I fell into gold and silver, primarily silver. Inheretance. I'm just sitting on them. No reason to sell right now. Keep in mind when you buy/sell, do it in lots <$10k. Avoid taxes that way.

I held the GLD and sold it several weeks ago when it was getting pretty clearly bubble-icious.

It's horrible listening to the chapters of The Guns of August dealing with the last couple of days before the German invasion of Belgium. So very tense.
