there's a new Demo for their Operation Star sequel in English. I found the link on the graviteam forum.

Whoops your abit behind there mate I've had it for a few weeks now.

A big tip...press space bar for your order options....didn't realise it at first...gives you a fair few orders to choose from, far more than the previous game...this is a must buy for me. One order I gave I watched the squad to fire and movement...excellent.

Is it any good (i.e. did they rework the cluncy interface)?

And you didn't tell us? I gave up checking their forums months ago, then surprise!

Yes the interface is improved, still a little alien to what we're used to but better than the original.

I have played, actually messed about with would be more accurate, Achtung Panzer several times but never really 'got it'. Anyone know where I might find a claer explanation of how to play the game.

Lol, it's confusing as ever. There are many interface features obviously locked in this demo (or at least show a lock by clicking on certain menu items), and I lack the patience to figure out everything by try and error if a game doesn't look promising from the get-go. Messed with this sh*t for about 10 min. and uninstalled after. No wonder they didn't get another contract from Pd.

I won't bother with Graviteam anymore as long as they don't introduce a combat-mission-style interface.

It's a shame as your missing out...I could never understand why people had a problem when there are really very few icons to learn...honest it's pretty basic...also with Operation Star just press the spavce bar to choose your orders..simple..

I have found UI's a nightmare in the past usually though it's camera controls I hate...

I mean take a look at War in the East or War in the Pacific now that is complicated and well beyond me to remember everything.

Also 10 mins isn't long really to learn a game surely...after some trail and error it took me about 30 mins to get used to Achtung Panzer...and I realised how easy it is..just could do with tooltips...

Anyway anyone who packs it in due to a slightly ambiguous UI is missing out.

Alo of people moan about Combat Missions UI..which I find odd.
