I am editing some device files and wanted to confirm if okhas need to be produced for japan as in devices tab it is set not to build. Any ideas ?

If there is a build rate and the option Can Build is Yes, then it should be built as a pooling device.

It can be built at a factory as is the current method in GC which is needed if Can Build is No.

Michael just a quick question because this passage is not very clear to me.

I am playing the GC as Japan and I am close to the timeframe where Okhas should become available. Do I have to do something particular to produce them, like setting a dedicated factory, or is production of this device automatic?

No in the GC Okhas are produced automatically. To find out how many are produced monthly go to the info tab click industry and find okha production and you will know how many are produced monthly.
