After looking at the wonderful map-maker that the designers have done for PCO, I have decided that I will break out all the scenario books in the Panzegrenadier game so that I can convert them to PCO. I'm probably looking at something like two hundred to two hundred fifty scenarios. Yes, I am insane enough to do them all. If I do, I will use the Goggle Earth feature in the MM program to design the actual maps, not the generic maps found in the PG games. My wife is really going to hate you for doing this to me? Chris.

That number of scenarios is just for the Eastern Front games, those that I currently have. There are two more games coming out in the series that deal with the battles during Operation Zitadelle. Probably at least another 100 scenarios for both games (Northern and Southern Fronts). I should have those games by the end of the year. Chris.

Looking forward to them. Are you going to post them as you do them or all at once when they're finished?

Acutally, I already have a question. I was tinkering with the MM this morning (before all hell broke loose here) and I got an error message when I tried to access the Goggle Earth elevation system. Is this something extra I have to add to Goggle Earth in order for it to work or am I overlooking something in the MM program itself. Remember, I was just tinkering this morning and we had a BIG FAMILY EMERGENCY occur, so it kind of went south after that. I'm just now able to check the forums to answer any responses.

I will probably cut my teeth on some of the smaller scenarios first and move from there. As I create each scenario (some may actually be campaigns due to size), I will share them with all that want them. I'm doing this for my enjoyment as well as for my fellow PCO members. I will definitely need feedback and will probably post semi-finished maps and beta-scenarios as I go. Just be gentle with me. I bruise easily.

    Chris.

What I do plan to do in the next day or so is to count up exactly how many scenarios this might ultimately be. I'll probably be designing scenarios just for this game when PCO v123 is published, but hey....

    Chris,

I hope things are ok with family.

as far as an error message for the elevation system. Depending on the location of your map area, you may get prompted to download the DEM for that area. if you get a prompt to do that, you should save the downloaded file in the DEMS directory of PCO. Then you will need to click on the import elev data button in MM again.

If that isn't the error you are referring to, try to catch a screen shot and post.

    Thanks
    rick

Thank Rick. I will see if that is the problem. If that doesn't work I will post a screenshot of the error message. BTW...the number of PG scenarios (games/supplements I currently own) stands at 262 (yee gods, what have I gotten myself into). When the two Kursk games come out, that will add another 160 scenarios. Eh...that should keep me busy for a few days (more like decades). Later. Chris.

I have to admit, I'm not very quick at creating maps. The MM tool is good, but it still takes time. So yeah, that might take a while!

    enjoy!

Maybe so, but you definitely excel in other areas of PCO development/marketing.
