Status: offline 		Hey guys,

As the subjects says DW wont launch ;-). So before i am reinstalling and repatching it, i would ask you the following question:

- Windows XP got the latest updates installed (SP3)
- DirectX is up-to-date
- Graphic Driver Nvidia 8800 GT is up-to-date
- .NET Framework has been installed during the installion of DW
- DW is fully patched (at least the DW-Patcher says that the newest version is installed)

Q1: Do i have to install the latest version from IE?
Q2: Do i have to install the latest version of MS Media Player?
Q3: Any general hints for the reinstalling procedure?

Status: offline 		Hi Han and welcome to the forum, I'm no expert but I do use rather old versions of both IE and WMP and never had a problem so just reinstalling the game should do the trick....it usually did it before.

thx for the quick answer. I will give it a try tonight. The only problem i see, is that the IE and Media Player verions are already up-to-date ... and as to my expirience .. its kinda hard to do a rollback on a pervious version.

I saw there were many issues about that the game wont load after installation and patching. Is there a known technical reason in general for it?

Status: offline 		Not that I know off, I guess it depends on each particular machine where the game is installed. But I'm only guessing.

I "resolved" the problem. DW works now!

During the first installation, i missed the "hint" that i have to UPGRADE the .NET-Framework 3.5 to Service Pack 1!!! o.O

My current setup:

- Win XP SP 3 all Updates
- IE 8 all Updates
- DirectX 9c latest distribution
- Windows MediaPlayer 11 all Updates
- Nvidia Card 8800GT Driver(Latest Build)

So it works fine with the latest versions of the listed software above.
