Hi all,

I am one of the founders of the CHS for WitP a few years ago, so run screaming if you hated that.

Since we have a (mostly) good version of WitE I finished up my campaign mod. Affecting all scenarios are my comprehensive fixes to air units, some fixes to armour and what not, a few AT guns, etc.
I added bicycle infantry squads for the Germans and the bicycle support battalion starts with them, and all German infantry division TOE's from '42 on will get these instead of cavalry.

The '42 German infantry division will have the full artillery battalion as that change was not official till '43.

There are a few changes to Soviet rifle division TOE mostly early war, adjusting gun numbers a bit.

I was going to switch the MIG 3 from a fighter bomber to a fighter as it was NOT a fighter bomber but then i found that every Soviet fighter is listed as a fighter bomber. Probably screw the game up if i switched it.

Many aircraft had their standard bomb load lowered as they are often listed with max loads.

The hurri 2b and 2c are not armoured ground attack planes, 1 armour only. I swear Hard Sarge and I have been fixing that in Gary Grigsby games all the way back to Talonsoft Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich.

Some early aircraft had their armour removed.

Stavka has the proper commander at game start and Shaposhnikov is out of the game.
37mm guns had their accuracy increased slightly. The Russian '39 model 76mm gun had it's anti armour rating lowered slightly as it was lower velocity than the '36 version.

The 2 German motorized divisions in AGS are active on the first turn. I know this is not what Soviet fan boys want but i have found nothing that says they were not active by the 23rd/24th.

So, is this worth posting here? Will anyone try this?

Mike

EDIT: Here is the file. Unzip all W*** files into 'War in the East/data' directory, the scenario file into data/scen folder

Oh, and really, mods? .zip but not .rar or .7z?? It is not 1999 anymore it is 2011. I haven't archived anything in .zip in 5 or 6 years.
