Hello all.
Does anyone have information on what upgrades are avaliable for the US warships?

The following is what I have observed to date.

US CA/CL, will upgrade to 16 x 40mm LS, 16 x 40mm RS, 12 x 20 mm LS and 12 x 20mm RS. No radar upgrades observed.

Farragut class DD: 4 x 20mm RS, 4 x 20mm LS,

Porter class DD: 8 x 40mm RS, 8 x 40mm LS, 6 x 20mm RS, 6 x 20mm LS.

Mahan class DD: 4 x 20mm RS, 4 x 20mm LS.

Benham class DD: 4 x 20mm RS, 4 x 20mm LS.

Gridley class DD: 4 x 20mm RS, 4 x 20mm LS.

Sims class DD: 4 x 20mm RS, 4 x 20mm LS.

Benson class DD: 6 x 20mm RS, 6 x 20mm LS.

Bristol class DD: 4 x 40mm RS, 4 x 40mm LS, 6 x 20mm RS, 6 x 20mm LS.

Fletcher class DD: 4 x 40mm C, 4 x 20mm RS, 4 x 20mm LS

DM's, APD's, and DMS's: 4 x 40mm C, 10 x 20mm C

Auk class MSW, 4 x 40mm

SC's: 2 x 40mm, 6 x 20mm.

Not to make light of your post, I'm occasionally curious about those sorts of stats,

but good-God man! Those numbers make my brain hurt!

As far as I'm concerned, I just want them to point all their guns at the bad-guys and open fire! (whatever they may be)

An interesting stat is that late-war Gearing-class destroyers had greater AAA throw weight than the Italian battleship Vittorio Veneto in 1943.

Crazy.

Whats even crazier is that pretty much right after the war ended, they ripped most of the 20mm and 40mm guns off of most the ships because they weren't effective anymore!
