It’s July 1942 and I am playing the Ironman Scenario using the current beta.

The Japanese are launching a combine SUB CHASER and BARGE assault against Pearl Harbor at the rate of 10-15 vessels every two weeks. This is causing me to divert the following assets to deal with this assault on a major US base, Girl Scout Troop 756 has been told to take their .22 rifles down to Waikiki. The only potential damage from this assault by the Japanese is a potential impact on cookie sales latter in the year and cluttering the beach with a bunch of wrecked barges and sub chasers.

While I have no issue with the AI attacking Pearl, the AI selection of attack forces seems a bit strange.

Maybe they are just early tourists.

Damn, maybe I should have the Girl Scout Troop sale them cookies instead of sink them. We could double our cookie sales! Say, could I roll that over into some kind of increased supply rate?

You better leave the Cub Scouts in reserve. This may be a feint with the real landing at Maui. The IJN may have heard of Mama's Fish House.

I think it's better that AI waste barges instead of battleships and cruisers like it used to do...

Nevertheless, strange behaviour.

The usual questions: what scenario, what date? What bases does the enemy hold near Pearl?

You can open a save head-to-head as Japanese and look at one of the TFs. The TF name gives the AI script number that generated the attack order. Then check out that script.

Sorry, but don't you think that countering with GST-756 is a bit on the side of overkill? I mean, seriously dude, c'mon.  You're playing the AI, for Pete's sake...

Its the Ironman Scenario. I don't see any other versions of Ironman in my setup so it's the only Ironman Scenario I have. The game version is Oct 24, 2011. Game date is July 12, 1942.

The Japanese hold- Wake, Tarawa, Makin, the others they start with and the nasty little spec called Baker Island.

It's IJN Taskforce 440 if that does any good? I am sorry when you start talking scripts I don't know what you are talking about except that it involves an AI routine. It also says TF assigned to 672 on the line below the name IJN Taskforce 440.

I am sorry, but I have never uploaded a file to this board or a PBEM'd the game so I don't know how to get a game save to you. I tried fowllowing the path suggested in the game manual, but I get an error message when I try to load my save the file to this page, something about a faked path being invalid.

Thank you for trying to help, not sure I gave you anything you can help with!

I sent E mail to you with the save, if I did it right.

Thanks!
