Playing as the American, I've noticed that in late 1942, air units (both land and naval) will temporarily stop receiving replacements at certain bases. This occurs despite more than adequate supply, excess pilots in the specific units, lots of available replacement aircraft (and no air combat is occurring), and more than adequate base force support.
The problem is worst at Gili gili, where units will go months without receiving any replacements. This isn't a matter of operational losses - often if the unit is moved to Port Moresby, it instantly receives replacements. The problem is less acute at Port Moresby, however, occassionally units will go weeks without receiving replacements (units stationed at either are repaired - i.e., they have no damaged ac.) This includes naval air based on carriers that dock at Gili gili.
Has anyone experienced this? Found a solution? (other than moving units around to other bases). This problem seems to be associated with the latest patch, because I didn't notice it previously.
