This is from a server game , under 1.50.39

Last turn of March 42

Well I think those partisans have make an operation worth of a good film. And this would be a good anecdotal data if not for the NEXT TURN

First turn April 42

Same HQ, same city, another partisan (the previous one was eleminated)....
Serial killer? , traitor infiltrated in the HQ?, Huge coincidence? Bug?...

BTW, I patched and send the turn, yet unseen if Reinhardt is alive at the moment...

For the record, in this same game 25 december turn Manstein was killed at the head of AGS, being in Kiev with two security units.

Well, HIWIs are now included in the game, maybe they are all Soviet spies!

I'd say: bad luck/coincidence, for now.

Hmm I had 2 of 3 rail lines cut in one of my games also and in more then one area.

I never had more then 1 major rail link cut before.

They might have done a opps again like with fort decay, problem is we have to play a few more turns and screw out games up to find out.

Hopefully the parts are getting lucky in more then one game and this is not another game stopping bug while we wait on a patch.

It is beta and crap happens so would not be a surpise.

In my current game, 1.05.38+ vs Axis AI at 110%, I have four or five partisan groups with 15+ victories already. I have never noticed that in previous versions and games.

Yes something is screwed up again.

I had another 7 hexes blown up in 1 turn.

I guess I will have to stop play again.

Seems like every new patch has a game stopping bug.

For crying out loud, Pelton. Quit your bitching. When you get 20-30 hexes blown in a turn, come back to me. Getting 7 in a turn is good luck.

Playing Germans vs Baelfiin I've only been attacked by partisans once in 54 turns. I think he must have turned them off

PELTON: The screenshot you showed in your game with Mike29 showed 6 ungarrisoned cities, including Kiev.

You may also be playing opponents who are supplying partisans actively. How many supply flights do you see a turn? If you see anything close to 1/2 dozen, then your opponent is making a point of getting supplies to partisans.

If you are playing Axis, you need to garrison cities, or you can expect lots of partisan attacks against opponents who know how to supply partisans.

Alot of players I think don't 100% know how to do it; it took me awhile to figure out.

The main points:

-Partisans can ONLY be supplied from VVS airbases
-You dont' have enough transports; use Level Bombers, set "NIGHT MISSIONS" to "YES"
-If Level Bomers on VVS airbases are set to NIGHT, they will fly supply runs. You can also do it manually

The key is using Level bombers, at night, on VVS airbases. TB-3, DB-3, and other old crappy types are really excellent for this

I don't think there is a Partisan bug at all

7 hexes, are you joking? That's nothing, I've probably had twice that in a turn, and probably about seven hexes in most turns, going back many many patches, and yet where are the numerous posts complaining about it? Oh, I guess Pelton didn't notice before...

[EDIT]For instance, here is a shot from my AAR with Ketza, from back in April:

7 in one turn? Give me a break...

Really, the whining about this or that broken with every patch is getting really old.

To make things interesting you need to use the long-range bombers, I try to use the IL-4s, with a radius of 773, for partisans.

Just to clarify, it's not only VVS bases that can supply partisans:

"(8.2.1). If those night mission enabled air group units attached to VVS air base units are not sufficient to meet the partisan needs, then transport and level bomber air group units set to night missions and attached to DBAD, AD DD, GAD DD, and GDBAD air base units may be selected by the computer to also transport supplies to partisan units."

Continuing that tangent: Level bombers set to "Night Missions: Yes" still fly normal daylight missions, right?

So there is nothing speaking against enabling night missions on all level bombers on BAD, etc airfields and having Partisans always be supplied as much as possible?

Turtle, I think not, for the simple reason that when you manually bomb a unit you have to select NIght for the night time bombers to attack. Don't know what happens on Interdiction.

I don't see any supply fights listed.

I don't see any supply fights listed.

As the Axis player, you won't. They were removed from the info displayed to the Axis player, to prevent him from guessing where the partisan cadres are. The Soviet player can see the Airdrop icon, and gets the Battles report for them.

The Axis player, if he's set any good night fighters to Night Missions, can deduce relative airdrop activity by monitoring the number of kills that his NF airgroups are chalking up. It can get pretty outrageously impressive...

I don't remember the last partisan bug, but that screenshot was a little over the top. But 7 hexes across the whole front is hardly a big deal.
