In the 41GC the Spitfire Vb ceases delivery in June 43, though the screen reports its supposed to upgrade to Spit IX in Feb 44. Not sure if this is a bug or intended, generally the planes say Last Date when they quit production without upgrading to another type.

Yes, this is legal setup. Some factories go into "snooze" mode. LL was no continues. There are similar setup for some ground element factories as well.
