I've been playing a game with everything automated, so that I can spend my time observing a single freighter as it traverses space. In its first sojourn outside of its home territory, the freighter in question ended up stuck trying to deliver cargo on a planet. Actually quite a few freighters appeared stuck.

The video is here on youtube:

I also uploaded the file onto your server, and its filename is:
Grisha freighter bug 12_12.dwg

I think ships can overlap each other with no problem. (no way to bump each other)
Might need a little more info on the base and the ships. Maybe its a docking issue and its waiting for its turn. Maybe its cargo is not in demand.

You may be right, GC. All the Humans ships that aren't going anywhere have hydrogen on their manifests. Looking at the cargo of the Teekan port, there's over 74k of hydrogen stored. It could be the port's not buying then. Makes sense if so, but I'd expect the freighters to search for another port and see about a sale elsewhere. Otherwise, they all sit there until that hydrogen gets used up some.

I advanced the game ahead one year from the time that video shows and the freighters were all still waiting to sell their cargo. Not good. Maybe not a bug per se, but a condition that got missed in the code most like.

Thanks for that report and savegame Grisha.

Those freighters are attempting to dock at the unfinished space port at the colony. They will eventually complete their mission when docking bays become available at the space port.

The next update has a fix to direct freighters to instead dock at the colony instead of at the incomplete space port.

Thanks
Elliot

Had this happen to me too once. Good thing it's fixed.

I second this issue, a few freighters got stuck trying to deliver the cargo, making short jumps outside the system and back. I always have to open the editor, delete those freighter and place a pirate escort on the system to release the queue.

Oh, it's an unfinished port! I hadn't noticed that. Thanks for pointing it out. Totally missed it. Good to know there's a fix in the works. Thanks! Love this game.
