I wanted to look at what the AI was doing with the USA as my test game in now into November 1940. I set it under player control, reviewed what it was doing, then ended the turn. When it executed, below is what my view was of the German turn. When the British were up, all the units returned to the map.

I am using Fog of War set to 3 hexes. As I thought a little, it seems that as the USA is still a neutral power, its FOW perspective is used as the Germans execute their turn. There no allied units to the USA, so they do not show up. This tends to make the USA unplayable until it is actively involved in the war. When starting a turn, you would have to reset the FOW to all human powers, not just the last one to get around the neutral USA.

Do not know if this is really an issue, it just looked odd to me.

Aside:

The USA was spending all its PP on research. All its naval units were in the Delaware Bay, and had been at sea for 30+ turns. There was on the 1st US Infantry division, no aircraft and the Hornet was ready to deploy.

Research status:

Infantry at level 1, three stars on research, progress 73/150
Tanks at level 1, three stars on research, progress 52/150
Aircraft at level 1, two stars on research, progress 12/150

Is the US AI at war with anybody?
If not, then it doesn't bother with any strategic planning.

Doom,

US not at war. I was just curious as to how it was spending its PP's.

doomtrader,

Here is the USA's economy, May 1940. It is generating 34 odd PP per turn, and its war economy in 20%. It has almost no unit upkeep.

That is enough from me. I am going to play for awhile. Hopefully I will be quite.

Thanks
