I was just trying some opening against AI and I got that...

It seems to me that there must be some bug somewhere as I don't think that expansion of combat value from 1 to 45 is anyhow possible...




[EDIT: BTW, I believe it is just a display issue, the value of the infantry in not given in the initial screen, but computed correctly in the end]

I thought that fog of war stops at the moment you start fighting - i.e. the initial and final values in the combat screen are always right... On the other hand, if the initial values in the combat screen are inaccurate due to fog of war, that would to certain degree make me understand some combat results... If so, can the initial values be both under and over estimated in the combat screen?

or... maybe... you are simply making a joke I am treating too seriously

Yes, initial CV (in parenthesis) can be fowed.
