Shoot. Much as I love 'em, our pals at Matrix converted my OOB spreadsheets into PDFs, making it impossible to modify them to suit individuals' preferences (adding transport loading sizes or reflecting support deficits, for example). Also, you have to zoom the PDFs to 400% in order for the print to be big enough to read. I have attached the spreadsheets below. Also, if you go to Spooky's most ExcelLENT UV Fansite, http://uncommon-valor.chez.tiscali.fr/ you can also get the original, unmolested Excel versions so that you can play around to your hearts' content (and excuse me now, I gotta go, cuz my girlfriend just made me the same offer).

We converted them to PDFs to make them printable/viewable for the "Excel illiterate" an those that simply do not have/use the Office suite.

Sure, Marc, I understand. The user can still print them and use pen-and-ink to add features and information they want. If you have Excel, though, you can customize these to fit your own preferences - which was the idea behind creating them in the first place (that and organizing the information to answer the "who reports to whom" question).

I have been giving some thought to reorganizing them to display the data vertically rather than horizontally in order to make it easier to add such things as "support deficits" and "load costs," but I'm too busy PLAYING the infernal game.

Thanks to all for v. 2.0, by the way. I have read a lot of the commentary here in these threads and see nothing that should prompt significant change in the future. SO ON WE GO TO WITP!

Please note that these are not just for sc 19. Sc 19 contains ALL of the land units possible in UV. The land units available in all other scenarios are a subset of what is available in sc 19 - that's why I chose sc 19 as the source for the data. If you are playing a different scenario, like 17, just modify the spreadsheets by eliminating the units that are not included in that scenario, and - voila! - you have an OOB for the scenario you are playing.

Because the data is in Excel, you can expand on it as you see fit. If you want a handy reference to load costs, for example, just enter it in the cell to the right of the basic unit data (design your own identifier, as, for example, "LC=1800").

The idea was to give you basic information that you can modify to fit your own gaming needs - gee, I should be writing advertising copy. If you don't have Excel, well, what can I say ... print out the PDF and grab a pen ...

If you do not have Microsoft Office, you can always use Open Office : http://www.openoffice.org/ - it is free .. but maybe a little heavy to download :)

BTW, Open Office is available for Windows but also for Linux, Solaris and many others OS ...
