it happened to me to read MBF's post about a way not to show someone else's avatar...

I think...no, this time i'm pretty sure that lately i went far beyond the line of humorism and mutual respect for others' sensibilities.

I'm sorry guys. It all started as a joke some months ago with CanoeRebel in one of my AAR pages...and, like many other times in my life, i simply let the joke go too much longer...till i started to feel a little bit too much confortable here...as if this is my place and not everybody's place.

Went way beyond...and not just with my avatars.

My speeches about girls...my pics...

Ok, i agree. I understood my mistake and won't do it again.

Believe me that there wasn't any "bad will" in it...was just an attempt of a "laugh togheder"...but it's clear - as it should be - that we don't have all the same feelings and the same sensibility...and it was a demonstration of ignorance and ineducate behavior on my part not to understand it.

Hope you can excuse me.

Status: offline 		Hey, GJ, I don't think the "hairy armpits" lady is any reason to apologize. There's nothing inappropriate about that. If people don't like hairy armpits, well, my goodness, they don't need to go and get offended about it.

Some of our other jokes from time to time have gotten a bit out of hand, considering that there are (very nice) ladies around, but all of this has been done in good humor and by good guys being "guys" and getting a bit out of hand, as guys are wont to do on occasion.

As for what started this all, I don't want to leave people with the impression that I started something. I think it all began with an innocent comment about a classy and beautiful actress (Madelaine Stowe?) from Pakistan. You said you preferred women with more hair. It became a very humorous and perfectly fine thread. Some people like hairy armpits. Some don't. Big deal.

That would be my fault. I offer my apologies as well. Although I still have that Bardot image in my head that I was meant to ignore from a few months or so ago.

I think your apology is an attempt to remain in good taste and is another example of the behavior that caused me to name you an honorary Southern Gentleman. You have been unfailingly gracious toward posters to your AAR, your opponent Rader and the universe in general.

A few of the girl stories recently got a little out of hand, but you edited the posts in question. Also, since you are a lot younger than the average poster here, I think you get a little slack in such matters. I spoke and thought of little else at your age.

As for the underarms avatar, well, it's not my cup of tea but there is such a thing as cultural differences. It's probably good you removed it, although IMHO not strictly necessary, just good manners. Still, I hope you replace it with something else that refers to the whole hilarious "naturally hairy" discussion between you and CR.

Finally, Grafin Zeppelin is a very good sport and I salute her. I also, umm, saved the image in her last post. <coughs nervously>

Status: offline 		Don't worry about the Avatar's,  somone saw my Avatar of the 5th Guards Tank, and I got 7-8 PM's calling me a Communist lover, and one evan went as far as saying that I supported "Socialist Obama" and he also saied I would never come to "hevan" ...  due to my Avatar....  he himself had been a "lojal Republicen since 1957 and he still hated communists, evan after they changed their names to Liberals"...
