Status: offline 		I would, but I think Doomtrader said the upcoming patch will not be backward compatible for games in progress. Is that right, Doomtrader?

1) when the patch comes out, will it become official and be put immediately on the Slitherine PBEM server?

2) in general, how will such transitions be handled in the future? I can see someone playing PBEM for a year and a half, only to have a new official version of the game make the current game impossible to continue.

Do you mean so long as both players either don't apply the patch, or keep a pre-patch version, no problem?
