Not sure about posting this in “tech support” section...

Jul42, server game as soviet, last betapatch, Shap and NBAP airbases are being autogenerated (I assume correctly according to overcrowded airbases rules), they appear frozen and unfrozen a turn or two later (as expected) . The bizarre problem is they appear in an empty hex about 5-6 hexes from the east border and from the nearest railroad.... Annoying

Air bases are created in or near some city linked to the main supply grid. Recently there was a code change which started to treat off rail cities as linked to the supply grid to avoid starvation. As side effect some units may arrive or be created around them.

In the example above, air base unit shouldn't get stuck there as it has quite big amount of MP. We can alter the code to choose locations near the rail.

It explains the subject... I was beginning to think that area was the hidden base of the soviet secret thermonuclear project ...

As you said the bases eith its wooping 50 MP are quite easy to move afterwards..

It's strange, but not a huge deal.

Just move it before assigning any aircraft to it; that will limit damage to airgroups.
