Hi, This is a very simple and fast scenario about the Normandy Campaign June-August 1944.
download scenario

It is playable as german against allied AI.

There are 45 two-day turns, division sized units and 6.5 km/hex map.

I recommend the "Normandy" map Skin and the "Germans Normandy" unit Skin, both included in the download, but you can employ your favorite ones with minor tweaks.

Please, switch units names "on" when using "Germans Normandy" unit Skin.

House rules:

Only HQ units can have commanders, and only if they are two hexes away of the front line.
In fact, commanders do not represent leaders, but something more like supply levels, so they are named +0;+1;+2;+3;+4;+5.
The sum of the figures of commanders names on field must not exceed 5.

So, if you have 5 HQ's, you can assign for example: +3;+2;+0;+0;+0 or +5;+0;+0;+0;+0 or +1;+1;+2;+1;+0, etc.
Notice that even "+0" has a bonus.

Your HQ's must not attack nor enter enemy hexes.

Installation:
Place the "Normandy 44" folder into the "Time of Fury\data\scenarios\" folder.
Place the "[MapSkin]Normandy" and the "[UnitsSkin] Normandy Germans" folders into the "Time of Fury\data\gfx" folder.

Thats all.

Hi,

Got it installed, and am impressed.  Great work.  I'm not getting the bit about the commanders, however.  What are the five numbers used for?

Thanks for posting this.

Gary

Thanks Gary,

Think of it as a kind of supply level for your corps. You have however a limited amount of supplies, so you cant assign +5 to every corps.
You have a total amount of +5 for all corps, So the sum for all corps must be +5. Here is an example (any other combination that sums +5 is valid):

This looks good, I am away right now, but can't wait to get home to give it a try.

Very nice scenario.
I forgot to obey the house rule with commanders, and this allowed me to wipe out all American forces until the end of the scenario.

However great gameplay, even without air force included.

Hi, I have adapted the scenario to T.O.F. v 1.01 and updated the link.
The scenario is also compatible with the new maps from the Normandy-allied scenario (see thread).
