Pioneers are good against entrenched units and forts, bridge engineers are to be placed on a river and will act as a bridge. Mountain units move quickly through mountains, HW infantry are good against tanks. Tanks are good against anything that is not entrenched, but keep them away from citied and forests. Arty and level bombers will supress units. The supressed strength will not fire back against the first attack made against them, but will be "good to go" as soon as your turn ends. What you should look at are; soft attack hard attack initiative defensive values A unit with high initiative is likely to shoot before the enemy shoots, soft attacks are made against infantry, artillery etc, hard attack against tanks and TDs. The defensive values are just what they seem, an indicator on how likely they are to take damage. If you look at the PzIV, you will see that it actually works best against soft targets, while the PzIII series tend to be better against hard targets etc. Hope this helps to some degree, if not just ask more specific questions and I will try to answer Terje
