How are the boys at Port Hedland? If they get enough supplies to recover and the armor arrives intact, maybe they can even take the place once the Imperials run out of supplies.

Curiously, they seem either to have forgotten their ordeal or somebody installed hot showers because they act like they are vacationing in Maui. 32nd ID is starting to draw infantry squads. Br. 2nd Div. have become glass eaters. Not enough supply for an attack yet.

The fight for Dobo. Allied surface groups going in tonight after the Jap transports. It is about time for the LYB crusier force to come back...and then there are Musashi and Yamato. A fast transport force is going to try to drop off more Marines of 21st Regt tomorrow night. A new squadron of B-25's arrived Merauke.

Where would Musashi have to rearm? Could she rearm at Kendari?

I don't think Ambon is big enough, even with an AE or AKE. Nearest big ports would be Soerabaya or Babeldoab/Pelelieu. Darwin would be big enough with an AKE if it is already built to level 5. The map shows ships in port. Any chance he had Musashi scoot in there waiting for a crack at your carriers if they come up to help Dobo?

Only if they give it away by attacking them, or if you see the stack being reconnoitered by air during the replay.

We've had P-38 recon and Catalinas over Darwin. I doubt we would have missed Musashi, though it is possible.

My Good Captain Mandrake....on rearming the 460cm guns on Yamato, et al....take a quick look at the convenient tables on pp 284-285 of the acursed Manual. Try not to break out in hives; your country needs you.

While the tables are simple enough for a fifth grader to comprehend, I will assume the worse and offer you an example. It is best if you follow along in the acursed manual.

First, port levels 9-10 need no help. They have enough indigenious union thugs, draft dodgers and natives to rearm the mighty gun magazines without recourse to outside help. However, let us take a somewhat more likely scenario....Yamato, after blasting the bejeebers out of you, returns to the parking lot in a level 6 port. Maybe Kendari is that level now. Now, in addition to the level 6 thugs/dodgers/natives, there must also be Johnny Jap Naval Support Squads equating to 1,148 points. Each spiffy IJN naval support squad is equal to 5 points. So, dividing 1,148 by 5.....presto! the LYB must have 229.6 Naval Support Squads in the port to hoist those shells into the magazines....don't ask about the .6 guy, he lost a hand and a leg in some previous battle.

Now, if you really want to put a supercharge into things, an AE tender can load the devil up....at 6440 points to rearm, that tender must be VERY large.

I hope this helps and allows you to avoid resorting to the acursed manual.

Well, that was very nearly a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 9th......instead, the center fielder leaps high at the fence, the ball bounces off his glove back into play...3 runs score and the batter tries to stretch it to a triple but the throw to 3rd is....

Jap planes from Darwin are baited into an attack over Gove. USAAF is ready for them. The AI goes crazy over AP's with troops aboard. These are some 2 1/2 ton trucks of an aviation engineer unit that could not get on the C-47's. They do manage to damage the AP but pay dearly.

Yoikes! He sent 13,000 troops to Dobo with only a PB/DMS escort! That is truly desperate.
His air force is becoming ineffectual too. I think your peace terms will be accepted ... even if Tojo has to become a bartender at the PH NCO's club.

The runner turns for 3rd under direction of "Chico" the 3rd base coach. Chico's mind races inside his little Dominican head. "The ball is deep in right center. This should work..oh..wait..se me olvido..it's the Mexican catcher! Madre de Dios! We've got 40 year old relief pitchers faster than this guy." He stops himself from making the Dominican good luck sign. He doesn't want to discourage the runner. Time slows...or maybe it just seems that way because the runner seems to be on Jupiter. "Santa Maria! Lighten up on the tortillas there amigo." He drops to one knee and makes the "slide" sign. The right fielder scoops up the ball on the run, takes two strides to align himself with his target and lets go. It was a thing of beauty. Everyone later agreed. "Aj, we should have sent some arty. One lousy 75 mm pack howitzer and a few crummy 81 mm mortars".

Uggh. A nearly full parachute infantry regiment lost and half a Marine regiment. The poor 21st was beat up at New Scotland too. Nobody is going to want to join up. Somebody is BOUND to find out in Washington, too. I wonder what that LYB unit that got murdered was. How many divisions do they have lolling about in reserve, I wonder. Credit to Admirar Fabertong for that snap counterattack...although it hurt them too.
