LCU slots 2950 to 3005 are open. I was thinking of using these slots for static base and garrison units (not AI controlled).
Were these slots not used in Ironman and Scen 2 Hakko Ichiu for a reason? Will it cause any problems to use them?

Thanks Daryl

According to the editor manual slots 2950 - 3004 are reserved, only slot 3005 can be used.

Slots Notes/Remarks
0001-0098 Japanese HQ’s must be located in slots 1-98. (although additional Japanese HQ’s may be located in the normal Japanese unit ranges)
0100-0215 Allied HQ’s must be located in slots 100-215 (although additional Allied HQ’s may be located in the normal Allied unit ranges).
0217-1999 Bases must be located in slots 217-1999. Do not move any Base to a different slot as some parts of the game program assume these bases are in their current slots.
2000-2349 Japanese TO&E’s must be located in slots 2000-2349.
2350-2899 Allied TO&E’s must be located in slots 2350-2899. ()
2900-2999 Slots 2900-2999 are reserved.
3000-3004 Slots 3000-3004 must be left open as these are the slots used by Japanese North Vietnamese militia units that are mobilized each time (up to a maximum of four) an Allied unit moves into a border hex inside North Vietnam (from China to Hue).
3005-4999 Japanese ground units must be located in slots 3005-4999.
4989-4999 have specific invasion triggers associated with them and are not recommended to be used by modders.
5000-7999 Allied ground units must be located in slots 5000-7999.
7950–7999 have specific invasion triggers associated with them and are not recommended to be used by modders.
8000-8499 Any TF’s may be located in slots 8000-8499 in the Task Forces view.

Bases must be in slots 217 to 1999.

The reserved slots 2900 to 2999 may be a hangover from WITP. These use to be reserved for the Japanese Home Defense Divs, which now seem to be in the OOB.
Slots 3000 to 3004 are for the VM Defense units.

The 2900 to 2999 slots could be used for LCUs, but not bases. If at sometime these slots did get used, then it is likely the units built by the code would not arrive. So only use this area as a last resort.
