Nice idea btw, but two things:

a) if this is "meet the forumites" and you are a big contributor to the forum, then why would you not participate?

b) the comment about the "what music are you listening to now" (and there is one I started for books and programs/films) is a little unfair. I have found that thread really useful for trying music (bands and genres) that in many cases I would never have heard of let alone tried. I hoped the book thread in particular would do the same. Why rubbish it?

For some of us retirement was forced upon us as the alternative to being unemployed...... its called the economic crisis.

Allegedly Germany has not been affected by this at all.
