Some say that if these two ships had sailed together, the large mass of awesomeness confined in close proximity to eachother would have caused a disturbance in the gravitational and magnetic fields, causing light to bend around them, making them invisible and enabling them to fly.

At one time, in a Los Alamos test lab in 1946 the blueprints of both ships were held together up against the light, and witnesses reported seeing a mysterious greenish fog appearing in its place. The engineers close to the blueprints vanished. When the green fog lifted, the engineers were changed, some were embedded in the blueprints and others were found wandering aimelessly and without memory in New York City, several hundreds of miles away!

Therefore I think scen #1 and 2 should be changed so that Yamato is avaliable at game start, with unlimited ammo and 999 in belt armor. Oh, and with an airwing consisting of 200 Ki201 jets. And a cruise speed of 300 knots.

Would that be a reasonable representation of these historical facts?
Discuss.

Yeah well they got it all wrong. Here is one of the rare pictures from Yamato preparing to shell PH. They later said its been the carriers but we here know the truth.

For some reason people always think that "being blown out of the water" is a bad thing. The Japanese and their rocket engines showed that this is not the case. Soon the Japanese will return from R&R at their moon base (time-share with the Germans) and then ...

Yes, it is: Battleship Yamato

At least they increased the AA-Gun value

I actually saw the entire film, and its a very typical "japanese hero" story with very strange acting actors, but its quite fun to watch with friends for a good laugh.

In a funny sort of way, this is truth.

Of course, someone forgot to tell Mr. Bay about that little detail...

Now i know why the Space Shuttle always orbited upside down. Bombardment Mission was selected.

Remove the explosive from the 18" shells and make them solid, then jacket them in tungsten. One broadside from orbit would pack enough kinetic energy that the resulting devastation would exceed even the most fevered dreams of Curtis LeMay.

And it's a completely realistic idea, because Japan had access to tungsten deposits in occupied China!

No worries, "old school" will save the day. Kirk and BigE-NCC1701 have travelled through time once to save the whales (and the world), so they could do it again. It's true since it was in the movies as well!

OKay now we are getting into divide by zero logical loop issues here. If we keep down this path then only anarchy can reign or you will end up destroying the known universe. Which ever will come first, your mileage will vary and all other legal disclaimers.
