I’m looking for an experienced player as I believe I am. I do not recall (but my memory might be selective ) losing a match with the Allies in UV, WitP or AE (although I did recall losing with the Japs!). I’m also looking for someone able to play an average of 10 turns/week, which I can guarantee as well for 49/50 weeks per year (with the exception of the first couple of turns). That’s not only because I’m addicted to AE but because I want a chance to get to see at least the second half of ’43 and possibly even the mythical ’44. With around 10 turns per week it would still take almost two years to get there. At a slower pace real life has too many chances to intrude and prevent the considerable time invested from bearing its fruits. I’m honestly sorry to sound picky, but I really dislike re-starting games over and over, hence I will only consider opponents who have been playing for a few years and are therefore sure that they like the game long term and can take a beating Scenario 1 is my choice as my goal is to beat history not to balance out the two sides. For that I play chess I’m not big on HR (I was in WitP) as I find AE quite refined, but I’m of course willing to discuss some, as long as they are not too complicated or one-sided. I do have my own HR, which I follow regardless of any agreement in order to get a stronger historical feel according to my knowledge and understanding of WWII, but I like to feel “free” to follow them. For instance I never over stack an airfield (I hate the game asterisks ;)), never put more planes than aviation support points (also don’t like red numbers ;)), never fly squadrons above a certain fatigue or below a certain morale, … and so on and so forth. But I want to feel free to make an exception here and there without feeling guilty as if I was cheating. Realism and game options to be discussed in PM/emails. If you managed to get to the end of this post you are already an excellent candidate!
