I'm experimenting with adding a game preference in the next patch that allows players to use height textures similar to those in the original (V1, not V2) ATB game maps. I've included a few screen shots below. For those who were having difficulty discerning heights with the green textures, are these clear enough? Are they too exaggerated?

WOW!, Those look really good and very helpful in determining height. I would not say they are too exaggerated, in fact they are really close to the original. I uploaded a picture from boardgamegeeek from the gameboard to show how close they are. Nice work :)

I personally really like the look of these. First I've seen of them as I've been away for the last 10 days. Nice.

The screenshots look very good. From somebody who has always struggled judging height (me), this looks like a massive improvement. The good thing is - by making it a preference then players who prefer the original look can still be accomodated. Great stuff!
