I am currently participating in Blood Beach. I am new to online gaming. I can't help but notice that there is a huge point disparity between the first place player and the rest of the players in Blood Beach. I cannot find any guidelines for point limits when setting up a game. Shouldn't there be some sort of paramater for points that keeps things equal? ------------------ Joe H. Brooks

you cant set the amount of points for both sides in your preferences menu. If you have it set to XXX currently, The AI determines points. Oh wait is this a scenario?? Points and units are preset in those, however...you can go into your scenario editor and buy additional units for your side, then save the scenario. joe, the only way to catch up is to play games like mad and play with large point allocations and of course win. Even if you lose, if you play enough games you can still amass points. good luck.

If you generate a battle, you can set the amount of points available during set up. Do we know for sure that everyone is using the same amount of points when they set games up? I can play 2 games with 10000 points each and amass a great deal of points in a hurry.

Butcher not everybody plays with the same number of points .. that is a matter of negotiation between players as is map size .. yeah perfectly legal to negotiate 10,000 points and a supersized map if you want.. and heck you might actaully find somebody to play it ... try Posting this question over on the Combat Command Forum and you will probably get more answers .. In my experience what determines how many victory points you get depends far more on what kind of victory hexes are used .. i play with random generated maps from the battle generator and i usually play with 4000 points a side that usually means that the winner gets maybe 5000-6000 points for a decsive victory if the victory hexes are 150-250 points end of game type but i had one game where the generator made them 35 points a turn in a 20 turn game !!!! talk about a mad dash ... made it a crazy game 11,000 pointer ... So it can vary depending on how the players style of play is very agressive more casualites or cautious less causlaties less points per game .. starting points ... do folks chose to use reinforcements more points to the game if you do ..and victory hexes points and types ..also units lot of off board arty and air less points on the battlefield

Being the person at the top, of which you speak, I can tell you all of the battles fought were computer generated battles in the 3000-4000 point range. Just using high buy points does not gaurantee you a high point total at the end. The game takes many things into consideration when adding up the score. The higher scores are generated by conservation of your own forces, and destruction of the opposing force. The more effecient you are at achieving this, the higher your score will be. Perhaps you would like a demonstration? CJ
