ORIGINAL: Titanwarrior89 Ive been all over Shiloh, my wife was born and raised not 6 miles from there(Crump, Tenn.) Infact we found a 6lb. smoothbore cannon ball in the mud of snake creek just off of the battle park. It had about 300 plus round lead balls inside of it along with the black powder packed between the balls. The powder still smokes but will not flash. The ball is a hollow iron shot with the packed balls(it is not a cannister round). We removed the 5 second fuse plug years ago. If I remember correctly, you could puncher 2 to 5 second slots to set the time for the round to explode. I was born 42 miles from Shiloh and visited it often as a teen. My now adult sons and I have visited 6 times over the last 18 years(since they were 10 and 8). It is a beautifully preserved park. We have also visited Vicksburg, Stones River, Chattanooga, Appomattox, Gettysburg, Antietam, Bull Run and Chancellorsville. BUT Shiloh is special to us and it never gets old roaming that battlefield.
