There was an infantry unit on that transport; he is bringing troops INTO Port Morseby.

IMO, any troops the Allies reinforce Moresby with are eventually going to die. So you have to be careful with that. It's kind of a trap for both sides, really.

Here's a close-up view of the situation on the PI. I'm thinking of driving for the city of Manila to cut off those Allied formations south of Manila so as to limit the size of the POW camp that is going to be formed on Bataan.

I think I can keep up this operational temp for about another 8 weeks, then things might have to slow down for lack of fuel.
