Looking to get back into the game almost a year after I had to give it up due to time constraints. Time-wise, I still can't afford to play a GC, that's off the table until I go into retirement. :D

Since I'm slightly out of the loop, can you recommend me any good, user-made smaller scenarios suited for PBEM? Last I checked there weren't that many floating around, and as much as I love the stock Guadalcanal scenario, I'm not sure I want to play it for the 10th time.

I can reccommend the DaBabes conversions. Have a look at the DB Guadalcanal scenario, heres the link:

Same timeframe as the original, but larger map and a few nice historical additions, combined with the usual DaBabes improvements for more historical
and realistic gameplay.

There's a couple other small scenarios available, based on DBB, that are only suitable for CPX, H-2-H, or PBEM play. There's the Japanese Centrifugal Offensive; Jan 1, '42 to Apr 15, '42, (developed in cooperation with Harald Velemans and Jo van der Pluym), that covers the DEI. And there's a 'strengthened' Philippines scenario (developed in cooperation with Don Bowen).

They aren't posted because none of the forum people care much for H-2-H tutorial scenarios like this, so they are parked private. If you are really interested, I can open them up onto the Babes site.

I'd really like to get hold of those if I could - I'm quite happy playing solitaire H2H, in fact it suits me better than anything else!
