For anyone interested, here's a look at Burma. My calculation is that Burma can't be held, so I withdraw my meagre forces to positions where they are on interior lines of communication. This is so I can respond to an invasion of India wherever it might occur. If I were to commit reinforcements to Burma and then a major invasion at Madras, Calcutta, Goa or wherever were to begin, I would have a lot less materiel to respond with. Many I'm sure will disagree with my analysis, perhaps even vehemently. The cost to the Chinese front is clear. Someday I may try it their way, but this is where my instincts lead me.

Perhaps the fact that the hex was about to fall determined that.

2/2/42 A shock attack was mounted against Singapore, and vontiger was somewhat puzzled by the result, in particular about the proportion of squads destroyed to casualties. I'd like to remind everyone that disabled does not mean destroyed, and given time you'll get that stuff back. But his puzzlement is not related to that, I think, and you all can judge and comment as you see fit. Here are the results I was fed by the game.

I've never paid much mind to these casualty figures, but I see he has a point. The gross result seems to me in this case to be favorable to him, but this stuff with how many squads destroyed is beyond me. Any thoughts out there?
In any case here's the next installment of the results of the American submarine fleet vs. the KB.
