How did Kikuzuki get away? Gojirra show up? Divine wind? Trick the captain picked up at Tsushima?

This is interesting. The larger taffy centered on San Francisco misses Kikuzuki , turns around to return to Exmouth, then runs into Ashigara which has missed the Arried transports at Port Hedrand, which have beat feet for Exmouth.

I think Ashigara was returning to Broom or Derby. Amazingly symmetrical forces. Looks like we won.

Afternoon raid on the ships at Boela. P-40B's from Boela are in the air. If I had known they would fly I would have sent another squadron. 4 Bettys shot down but one gets through and puts a fish in Indiana. Gaack. Tropedo hit like that on a BB usually means dry dock time.

By ra way, the number of digits of Pi which one has memorized is a very good predictor of geekdom.

I am pretty sure than any figure over 15 digits will guarantee virginity untill graduate school, at least.

Ahhh...so 6 of my 30 year old plus cousins have memorized Pi that far....makes perfect sense now.

Well, if it makes you feel any better...if I was an AFB, I'd just pretend that it was the "Gary" part of the Indiana that was blown up and flooded. Pity the damage to the latrines and bilge systems though...

Wonder why he's sending in his torpedo bombers so high. There'd be more chance of penetrating CAP (and a lower detection time) if they came in lower.

The ophthalmologist told me to massage my Meibomian glands for 15 minutes twice a day.

I haven't done that much gland massaging since I was 15..well maybe 16..well...anyway, that is a lot of gland massaging.

That is like 2/3 of an AE turn for me.

I wonder if I will turn red when I go back for follow-up and he aks me if I have been massaging my glands?

I know you have an inherent trust of doctors, but when the ophthalmologist tells you to drop your pants that ought to be a clue. I'm just sayin'.

Can't get the turn done...because I had to watch the replay. There was no way those Bettys could be coming from Kopeang with an escort. I am pretty sure they are based at Kendari, which is level 4...time to be a bit more cautious.

Air losses. They paid for that plumbing problem on Indiana

One thing Raider taught me in GreyJoy's AAR .. IJ aircraft are like Doritos ... they just keep making more ..and the IJ training thing and HI encourges suicidal attacks if not to drain the pilot pool ....

Long hard slog ahead CAP ..

BTW) Rubbing your eyes as a Tx blepharitis is counterindicated .. BAD DR. Mandrake ....BAD BOY .. Especally since you are in contact with all those childhood infections on a daily basis .... Might I recommend cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion It's much easier on the eyes than gland rubbing ..

I'm sure this is true but we can cause temporary depletions of IJA/IJN aircraft and, even by ground destruction of airframes with no loss of pilots, give us voids in time when can push forward more quickly.

Then, when JJ comes back with more Bettys and swarms of Tojos, we can take a step back, reduce the exposure of our naval assets, get our big airbases ready and then pounce with our heavy bombers.

The plan for this turn in the Banda and Arafua Seas will be to:

1) Recon Namlea and order a ground bombing to see if we can get some body parts for unit ID's. More parachute infantry is ready at Saumaki.

2) Move the BB's anad carriers back a bit to get out of zero escort range from Kendari

3) Second P-40 squadron for Boela, the airfield of which is now fully operational.
