I am enjoying this game more than anything I have played in a very long time and am looking forward to further content, enhancements etc.
As a first step, is there any any timescale on a new patch? and any idea what might be in it?

Thanks

It looks like we won't be ready to post that information until next week. But in the meantime, here's a preview of one of the things I was going to discuss:

but I don't see the bottle of Moosehead Lager resting on the table,

Hi everyone,

I'll do a bit better - we are going to release the next public beta update today and it will include the new maps and counters I was previewing. Here's a screenshot of the new high resolution dynamic counters. The new public beta update will be available shortly.

Regards,

- Erik

Those new counters look great! Way better than the previous 'black slab' version. This is just getting better and better. Question now is do I stay up all night (its 11.15 pm here) for the public beta?

I like the new counters, other than the fact that they do not look "3D" enough. It would be nice if more shadowing were added to the sides of the counters. until then, i'll probably stick with the "old" ones.. They look 3D.

Thanks for the work with this game though!

Liking the new maps. At least the roads look decent now. The previous road lines looked like alpha/beta place holders that never got a final polish before release. Now the game is looking like it should have before it hit the street. It should have stayed in dev until it was this polished in the first place. Perhaps in another month or two I may give the game another spin to see if it correctly obeys the games rules yet.

Its a very good game, but those 1.6beta maps & counters don't look so good in-game. See the 1.6 beta thread at the top of the page. However, the vanilla terrain is fine - it just doesn't look like the board game.
