What is the error message? Do you have a firewall that might be blocking the download?

You can try downloading the patch file manually and applying it. Here is a link to the patches section:

http://www.matrixgames.com/products/latestdownloads.asp

It looks like this directs you to a mirror site, so you might need to be patient for the download to start.

did you sign in to the members area and download manually from there? I believe that goes thru the matrix servers.
