Which section of the german armed forces issued knee pads?

He appears to be Fallshirmjaeger, perhaps they are authentic? Anyway all this equipment seems to be at least somewhat inauthentic. They've been colorized!

Picture of authentic non-colorized Fallshirmjaegers with kneepads.

I sure hope those aircraft make a sortie up this way.

I just wonder why..OH WHY..most re-enactors of German troops want to dress as Waffen SS...probably the "cool" factor.

Missed that DRATTED fighter. Very fast! My support crew didn't take the time to call out vectors and provide any warning. Got to work on that before the next mission! I think John (8 Year-old) was too busy tapping out in Morse Code that he wanted pizza delivered to Nine O Nine. Chris might have been examining the bombs in the bombaby at the time as well. The wife was busy with the camera so you can see the issues with bagging an enemy aircraft.

John- I am not 100% sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were. A couple of people here told me they're part of a traveling group of planes..so, it would make sense if they were the same ones. Not too many B24s flying around that I know of.

Nice pics!

This past weekend, I had a chance to take a ride in a B-17 at the Syracuse airport. To me, the price of $400 sounded somewhat reasonable. Unfortunately, the wife and I have different standards of what exactly "reasonable" is.
