Besides, when we partner, I always reserve the "Commie" forces for you. You wants I should recruit some rats?

No dancing partner yet?

We've been saving you a slot! Who would YOU like to partner with?
You know, now that Martin has settled in the new job and new home, maybe he'd be interested? It could be Brits Vs. Yanks!

I'm honored by being included in the Yanks category. I usually end up lumped in as either "one of those Commies" or with the rats, voles and other rodents.

You speak to rates, voles and rodents? That could be useful to me. When you swing by, could you tell some rats, voles and other rodents to "get off, and out from under my lawn?"

We've already discussed that. Theyre ground squirrels. Thats on the opposite spectrum of that binomial nomenclature order thing. Think of it as your long-lost Canadian relatives who have no social graces and are generally embarrassing.

Naw, I can't do that. These things are cute. I'd shoot my relatives.

I just want you to politely ask the to leave. Or better yet , move over to my neighbors lawn (the resident Lawn Nazi). Then I can admire them from afar.

Have you tried playing your old timer music at them? It worked in Gitmo.

They played Bach at Guantamano? I thought they played "Barney" and "Sesame street " tunes? I don't think Back would work for the chipmunks. Maybe "Christmas don't be late".Except I'm afraid they'll like it.

I'm interested in doing this, although I would like to play the Japanese side with 3 players - 1) Army, 2) Navy, 3) production and resources. I'm very interested in exploring the "communication/coordination" problems between the Army and the Navy. Each of those would control their own air assets. The Navy player would control all combatant ships, and would require coordination with the production player on shared use of xAK's. The three players would decide among themselves who would be the "supreme" commander to set strategy, although all would have input. I would not be averse to playing the Reluctant Admiral mod with stacking limits, and indeed, would prefer it.

I may not be as experienced as you are looking for; I've completed 1 PBEM (Marianas) and have a PBEM campaign game in progress (now late Feb 42). I would be willing to play any of the 3 "parts" described above, although being retired Army I'm probably best suited to that role. My "kid" will be 40 at the end of August; my grandkids, who are 800 miles away, are 14 and 16.

Life's been tossing me curve balls but everything seems to be sorting itself out (finally!). I'd really like to get back into a game. I'm in the process of a move and settling into new duties\responsibilities at work so a late October or early November game sounds great - especially if I've got a partner to share some of the management with.

I'd like to take on the duties of Army & production and keep it a 2 X 2 game though (hoping Uncivil Engineer would be interested in taking on the naval, merchant marines, and sub duties).

Also - there are a lot of other toys out there for AE (thinking of some of the mods that are now available). Are you looking for a stock game or would everyone be interested in trying out one of the mods - maybe something from DaBabes or the Reluctant Admiral? I've really enjoyed playing on an extended map and I think you might also.

Yes, extended map with stacking limits is the way to go. I'm currently playing Japan against the AI in Reluctant Admiral and was surprised when I overstacked attacking Clark Field by about 10,000 troops.

My thoughts on the "production player" would include having him do the merchant marine. He would be keeping track of resources and would know where they need to be moved from and to. Obviously, he and the navy commander would need to work out the sharing of the xAK's, but "production" would control all SC, PB, TB, and other miscellaneous "escort type" vessels. Both could do ASW with his available assets. And anything can be made OPCON to the other.

Also see my post above about others who may be interested in this game - I don't expect a decision anytime soon. But November is a ways off yet.

Hope you are enjoying the Mod!

If you guys are doing a 2x2 and want it to be historical then take one of the Da Babes. They are well done.

I was thinking more like Perry Como or Sinatra.

No. I could never stand the later.

And the former , well I have an embarrassing story about.
About six months before Culture Club burst onto the American music scene, they were already a huge hit in the UK. I had just arrived on exchange to the Uk when I was passing a Bill board on the side of a train station with some new British friends , when one of them asks, "so , Stephen , what do you think of our British women"? "well for the most part , I find them extremely fashinable and attractive. But I've got to admit that THAT ONE (pointing to the huge bill board) is the freakiest female I've ever seen!". The poster was of Culture Club, and one of my friends let me in on the secret of "Boy George".

Understood. Good luck with your search, there are a lot of "Babes" fans out there. Yuri and I are not amongst them.

I would love the opportunity to team with Lord Sprior, however I would like minimal responsabilties, no units to control, no decisions to make, ergo NO BLAME.

Is it possible to play a MOD game and a stock game at the same time without to much fuss? I ask because I would like to work China and maybe New Zealand only. I find the Chinese most interesting and New Zealand would allow some minor participation in all theaters. It does leave the Allied supreme CnC with alot to deal with though.

You simply need to do two installations, and make sure each one is well labelled so that you don't misload your turn into the wrong one. When I have done this in the past , I've put the shortcut on opposite sides of my desktop.
