Scharfschutze and I have been swapping games (and victories) for the last couple of months. We're thinking we need a little change from the armored uber-killers of the late war years.

Momma always said "When you need help, seek out wise counsel". But in lieu of that, I thought we'd tweak the Troublemaker and see what he's got hiding in the Scenario Closet. ;)

We're looking for a 4-way battle circa 1940. Minor countries would be preferred (Norway, Finland, Spain, etc.) I personally like a smaller map (size 4-6), mostly to keep my attachment file size down. (1Mb files take forever to up/download. :( ) Any suggestions, Master Troublemaker?

We're also looking for two other grognards who don't have a life either. (perhaps you might consider taking up arms against us).

So, who out there has the brass cajones to tackle Capt Pixel AND Scharfschutze in the same battle? (Oooh, that sounds like a challenge).

Scharf should be along momentarily to further heckle, harass and bullyrag various forum denizens. But I, myself fling a challenge towards my old nemesis:

GOBLIN!!

You haven't had your hide strapped in a while. I noticed you've started to heal the welts. I need to fix that. :D

I will wait for H2H. Also, I am limited on matches right now, and am still fighting Jess, and have a five way coming up soon.

I guess you guys are not going to let me get away with not loading yet another version of this game. (44meg!?!. This is gonna take all night :( )

How about you, Scharfschutze? Are you willing to move to the next incarnation (H2H), just to pound on Goblin and M4?

I looked about but couldn't find PanzerLeos website. Anybody out there who can give me the url, please? Oh, and if someone could tell me why this is so much better than SPW@W, I'd appreciate a review.

Thanks in advance, y'all. :)

Well, sirs, I am new to H2H, too. But if it is SPWaW still, no prob. And since Capt. Pixel and myself have been honing our skills to razor-sharpness in these last months (Hm, I think I haven´t lost a game to anyone else recently:p ) something new might just about even the balance...
;) ;)

Capt,

Besides the eye-candy (photos for every unit in the game), H2H has changed the artillery system (no casualty reports, harder hitting, more expensive) to the better. Machineguns are also more dangerous. Unit load-out, OOB's, and several Icons are alot better. Anti-tank guns and tanks get another shot in a turn, to give inexperienced crews a chance to do something. There are bunkers that infantry can 'load' into. They are not armed, and only give overhead protetion from artillery. A direct hit 'bails' the infantry squad. Dive bomber accuracy is increased. I do not like some of the pricing system (it has been changed to factor in non-game stuff, like production output and such, which makes balance difficult), but you take the good with the bad. I would be happy to burn a copy and send it to you on CD if you like (I could not play the match right away anyways). There is a list of changes in H2H at:

I for one will always play 7.1 as well as H2H..but I dont think I will design any more scens in 7.1..

I also need a little while before I can start..Its funny right after I posted my challange to Don Doom I saw your challange,,,I have about another (1 hour) to 1 week left in Stalingrad...but my battle with Gob wont last much longer (Germanstuff:rolleyes: ) and then Gob and I start the 5 way..so for me..I need about a week

and this could be fun!

"We're looking for a 4-way battle circa 1940. Minor countries would be preferred (Norway, Finland, Spain, etc.) I personally like a smaller map (size 4-6), mostly to keep my attachment file size down. (1Mb files take forever to up/download. ) Any suggestions, Master Troublemaker?"

I do have a collection of scens put together now (not all are mine) that I was going to use for a long campaign but I scratched that project (I still need to finish Beyond the BeachHead (Kickass stuff if I do sayso myself ;) ) and KGP conversion...

so Im in but give me a week

:D

Appreciate all the responses. :D

Goblin - no sweat, I can wait. Pixels are patient. ;) (I figured I might have already made your 'list' anyways.)

M4 Jess - I din't mean for you to create a whole scenario for li'l ole me and Scharf (altho' I'd be honored). I just thought you might have something rattling around you could shoot to us. But I think the 'LoTech' end of the war might make a good 4-way - someday. :)

Scharf - maybe we could set up some other pigeons. Maybe we could figure some a way to set up a random battle for four-way? Although I think there are some issues with purchase, deploy and first turn move that might get confusing.

If your offer is serious, I accept. You can send the CD to:

Michael Smith
c/o Aunt Emma's Mental Farm
555 Puckett Lane

That'll give me time to wheedle the ins-and-outs of this new game before I meet you on the field of battle. (It would also earn my eternal gratitude and unwavering commitment to the betterment of Goblins worldwide.)

Thanks, Gobbo. We can always count on you. :D

If M4 Jess is ready for the setup, we just need someone to tackle with. Maybe start a new thread, Capt. Pixel?

Btw, H2H looks really nice, there is a Scharfschuetze unit in the oob!:)

The scen is almost ready...1941 Moscow city fight....I should stay out of the fight..Large Map..lots of rubble and burning buildings...the russians are dug in deep and will mount a large counter attack while the germans have to keep attacking and a river to cross as well...trust me it will be one hell of a fight!

Many, many thanks, Gobbo.

Scharf, you want to stand side-by-side as the Soviets? We'll go find ourselves some Germans to kill. There's an Enemy at the Gate, comrade. :D

(side note: I abhor city fighting, therefore I don't do it much. I know that I need to be better trained in this most ugly aspect of battle. Press on.)

Comrade-Captain, we will smite the invaders in the name of our beloved leader Stalin. May none of the enemy ever set foot in the Kremlin!

Oh, and by the way, I´m close to my second victory in the Stalingrad Challenge I issued three weeks ago, so I guess streetfighting reds are my forte!
