Hi everyone !

I just got myself a new computer with Win XP preinstalled ( and a bunch of XP fixes) and started happily to install spwaw 7.1 ( the full ver. No uppdates to get there if you know what i mean) but I run into truble.
I got an error message labeled IRSETUP saying " A sharing violation occurred while accessing a unnamed file" and the setup stops.
Does anyone know how to fix this !!
I even tried to install ver 5.01 but got the same problem.

Hello

Never heard of this kind of bug..my guess is that the spwaw install program conflicts with something in your system. Perhaps the Matrix people can confirm if the 'irsetup' is related to installer?

You could try closing all unnecessary background programs and then trying to install again.

Hello !

Yes Voriax
it has someting to do with the installation program.
If I click on irsetup it starts another setup(installation). It only works if the first setup that "crasched" is still running because it needs some files that are temporarily stored in the temp catalog.

I also found a "workaround". If I tells XP to run the installationprogram as an old WIN95 program the installation passed ok.
It is a little confusing thou. My old computer had Win98 installed and it worked fine installing both 5.01 and 7.1 on that one.

Are you installing it with administrator priviledges? If not this could were the violation is occuring.
