I've encountered two weird things in my recent PBEM game

1. Air HQ become fragment
After an amphibious action, one of my Air HQ become fragment "/1". and the "parent" fragment disappeared.
Later I found the "parent" fragment is in the reinforcement list, which will arrive after 60days.
So My Air HQ can not supply torpedo at least for the next 60 days.
I also worried that if the "/1" fragment will recover to "parent" after 60days because the reinforcement do not have arrived base infomation.

2.Command HQ can not supply air torpedo
Command HQ "Southern Army" is with in 8 hexes. Both the TB base and command HQ base's airfiled is above size 4. And both with abundant supplies.
But the USE TROPEDO button is still red which indicate that no tropedo ordance available.

anyone can help me?

Southern Army is an Army HQ, it does not supply torpedos as far as I know.

It's a command HQ. It can supply torpedo to the base it is in. But not to nearby bases although it have command radius 9.
I don't konw why.

Ok, did not know this. Anyways, I missed the important part of your post before: torps are always only supplied to the base, not to the command radius.

Can you post a screenshot of the Command HQ?

1. Is the base where your torpedo capable planes located attached to the same Command HQ?

2. Are the planes set to fly only within their normal range?

heh, i messed up w/ buying torps for AirHQs:

you can buy torps for an AirHQ manually, in increments of 20. if you click the 'Show unit's TOE' button, the torp ordnance listing turns yellow - you can click on that text, & set the number of torps that that'll become a permanent part of the unit (and will auto-replace them if adequate supply is available).

BUT! the AirHQ won't auto-restock these torps, 'less you turn the AirHQ's Replacements ON. my Vildebeests weren't able to attack some juicy targets, 'cos the AirHQ's replacements were OFF.

That is an extremely handy thing to know. And now I know. Thanks much!

I meet same bug - my air hq somehow splitted when unloading and one fragment will return in Tokyo in 48 days. I dont lost any ships during unloading. Probably it disabled squads or destroyed equip (torpedo section). I hope that bug will be fixed.

galex,

Thanks for posting those screenshots but there are other relevant screenshots missing too.

1. There is no info on just how much supply is held at the base itself. The critical base is Kalidjati where the Command HQ is located. All you have shown is that the Command HQ itself is currently adequately supplied, not how well the base itself is supplied.

2. Your screenshot of Genzan KuK does not show the distance allowed to fly operations.

3. Air units which have been set up in the editor to have organic detachments seem to have some issues with the code and surprise players. In this instance what ordnance is the detachment using. Try switching it to also drop torpedoes and see if that affects the parent.

4. In some cases the HQ to which a base is attached to is a logistical factor. Again no details provided of the actual bases themselves.

Alfred
