Jim has posted so many DD's near Midway that I may have to back off my subs before I lose them.

And as the sun rose above the horizon I did a little mop-up on that Allied TF near Tarawa. I let the DD's run in among the survivors
and machine gun them so we didn't have to pick anybody out of the water.

I'm attempting to capture a base a little closer to Java so as to facilitate some more captures of the smaller islands nearby. Jim has some
assorted PT boats but so far nothing all that threatening.

One of the Dutch subs is still nosing around Singkawang. I'm going to have a problem w/ subs for the rest of the war probably.

There seems to have been a delivery scheduled for Christmas Island. The Luckenback is listed as one of the ships sunk during the day
so I guess maybe it's really gone.

Operation Beat-Down continues at Manila. At least two new divisions have arrived at Manila during the night so maybe the attacking
can begin in earnest now.

In addition to the ship-to-shore bombardments there was at least one air strike on Kuantan yesterday.

The air war near Davao continues. Maybe the ship-to-shore bombardments on Cagayan will stiffle the P-40's a bit.

The 21st/C Div is a couple of days away from coming ashore at Kuantan. I'm hoping that the additional men will help in the ground
action there and that the advance south will be back on the road shortly. I guess there's no hurry though.

So um........Hey you guys.......I just discovered that the column heads of the AAR section are clickable and they toggle between
descending and ascending. Cool. Something I didn't know before. Now back to the AAR.

I went snooping with a CS ship and found some more Allied ships on the northwest coast of Australia. I guess I'll have to dispatch some
surface ships to take care of them.

I've found about a dozen places where I need to send some AF dudes to in order to repair some planes. Those grounded planes aren't
doing me much good unless and until they are fixed.

Here I have a DD that has some major damage to it's engine. But it's also part of a TF that is much slower than the DD travels. So I'm
thinking that it might be nice if there was some way I could have the DD on cruise speed and the task force on mission speed all in one
TF. I guess the next best thing would be to put the DD in it's own TF and have it follow the other TF. Anybody else have any good
ideas for this situation?

All the fires at Palembang finally went out and now the rebuilding can take place. I'm shipping in some engineers to do the rebuilding
and there's a lot to do. The Oil centers and Refineries and the port and something called "service" are all damaged. I'm thinking that
all this rebuilding is going to take a while and I'm guessing it's going to take something like a month, maybe more.

Your engine damage #'s are in green, so you don't have major damage... You get to yellow or red colors - pay attention then.
When your done your ops, stick him in a shipyard and he'll be right as rain in a couple days!

EDIT: grammar is not my strong suit - but I try!

Hey Moo: I hate to have to be the one to tell you this but most of the ships reported hit show no damage at all. FOW I guess. I have no
doubt that your pilots are sighting a lot of stuff however, there's a lot of stuff out there to sight.

Also, I found a TK that has some damage and on the front it doesn't show any major kinds but on the flip side it lists the engine damage
as major. So..............???

hmmm, I dont think I've ever seen only "one point" of engine damage being classified as major before... BTW wasnt it a DD that you were referring to in the previous post? Still I learn something new everyday...

It's now Thursday 23Aug2012 05:45 am and I'm in receipt of Jim's latest moves. I did the combat replay stuff and here's the latest
Tracker economy chart. I've got a lot of non-producing Oil centers, Refineries, and HI factories. I'm going to have to look into that.
Plus there's about 27K of armaments. I'm guessing I can shut down the armaments factories for a while to let that figure drift lower.
