Status: offline 		Who is still actively playing this? I am re-downloading this evening, since I got a new computer and haven't been able to play PBEM for awhile. Once I dig in, I'm going to want to talk strategy and tactics - anyone around?

After a game against the AI, I might even be up for a PBEM, although WiTP-AE is my first PBEM love...

Status: offline 		Glad to hear. I've been re-reading this forum to brush up on everything. Right now I'm torn about which side to play. I'm leaning towards Allies for the moment, as I'd prefer to start a Luftwaffe campaign after Harley has a chance to finish up the UI improvements for production.

Status: offline 		hanging in there too, still playing my allied 43 big campaign. only 50 turns done so far but fun. still alot of work to do. too bad that my PBEM Opponent in BOB 40 dropped the game after just 4 turns , see AAR section. anyone interested in another one ?

I think you're right with starting as the allies, they are a little more forgiving and you get a larger variety of missions so learn more about the game mechanics up front (although miss the whole production side.)

Thank you very much, you just answered my stupid question as to why I couldnt find my Strat thread in The War Room. DOH! I hate it when I am a stupid idiot.

But thank you for enlightening me.

I am finishing up my next post to add to my thread there on Daylight Strategic Operations. Nothing earth shattering as usual, but no matter where I go I keep coming back to this fantastic game. There is just so much to it. Every time a peel back a layer I keep finding more below. I wish I had Nick Bell's understanding of the Luftwaffe aspect of the game but I don't so I have a long way to go to catch up to you guys. Anyways I am having a blast with it. Hope you all are as well.

I have not played for over a year; my time (weekends only) has been focused on WitP AE. Eagle Day / BTR are first class; I played the originals extensively. Eventually I will need a break from AE and will start BTR again.

Good to see so many of the old crew still around and active. The problem is that Matrix has so many good games out, it is hard to find time to play them all. I do hope Harley and Hard Sarge are able to continue their support of this game. I know that their work is done because of their love of this game - and it shows.

Good to hear from you. I got back into BTR because I was unable to continue a PBEM in Witp-AE after a computer crash. Given my limited time, I figured playing the AI here was better than disappointing a PBEM opponent there - and having played PBEM in AE, I can never go back to the AI, unfortunately!

Status: offline 		I am playing 2 X PBEM games at the moment - '43 campaign both as Luftwaffe. Happy after a day where I scored 64 kills for 8 losses with only 4 pilot casualties, and these included 36 B24Ds shot down.
