New options for the map generator are awesome. At last we can choose mountains and forests level (humidity and geological age). And I found interesting setting for duel maps:
World type: land world + Continental size: tiny
80% of map is land

I found the AI since 2.11 in every way improved. Don't know what happened or what Vic did, but after some point in the game with previous patches it used to be a walk in the park, definitely not so now. It still does some odd things, doens't use paratroopers, etc., but still after I met my several AI opponents on a very large map, it turned out to be a long and hard battle, fighting over each and every hex... lvl bombers III strafing my troops... Woooot!!!

Question: On the ATG what is the "generic.at2" button for?

Pressing that button allows you to manually select some other at2 file on which to base your random game. Generic.at2 is default ATG.

Wow...That is handy to know! So it uses the scenario map and data to set an ATG random game, rather than generating its own map and using the stock ATG data? Very nice to know.

generic.at2 - standard ATG game
classic.at2 - old AT:WWII game
generic2.at2 - new graphics ATG game (new graphics but no field terrain, no climate, so no jungle, paddies and desert too)
generic.ptmaster - ???
And you can even use the old map generator for generic.at2 if you like sliders for each terrain.

hmmm... learn something new everyday. I've got a large map of Europe - are you saying I can generate random games on the Europe map?
Will have to test this tonight!

ok, I gave generic.ptmaster a try last night.

I was unable to import a map from a different scenario.

I WAS able to import some custom SFTypes, research groups, and item groups from that scenario. This could be a useful tool for gamers who have designed their own SFTypes and want to use them in multiple games.
